Marina beach is known as the pride of Chennai. the Marina beach stretches for about 13 km making it the second longest beach in the country. and it is considered as cleanest and busiest beach. The beach is one of the most prominent open spaces in Chennai and is host to many important national and cultural events like the parades on Independence Day and Republic Day. the beach also has skating arena where people do skating and sometimes people used to practice freestyles dances.Marina beach is a major tourist attraction of the city. People visiting Chennai make a point to visit the beach. Bathing and swimming at the Marina Beach are legally prohibited.
